Os Homens e as Maquinas: A Técnica e a Cultura são duas dimensões indestrutíveis perante toda a sociedade Humana.

Graças há primeira fabricação de um instrumento, assim desta maneira, o Homem ganha a passos largos e terreno sobre a Natureza, como dizer não há passado sem história, como também não haverá futuro sem um presente.

As formas da arte, uma vez criadas e postas há prova, normalmente têm uma reacção extraordinária e conservadora, e que resistem as mudanças. Algumas das formas utilizadas actualmente, levam ainda bolhas dos antigos vínculos colectivos. Mas também muitas vezes, uma obra de arte pode criar um efeito racional ao observador, criando-nos um efeito de "alerta" para o futuro. Uma vez que vivemos e dependemos duma esfera burocrática, que coloca em movimento um processo, destrutivo que escraviza e mecaniza o Homem, transforma-nos em simples engrenagens, para que possam funcionar com todo o sistema, em tempos modernos.

Por esta razão penso que a arte ainda é verdadeira no meio de uma sociedade completamente em decomposição, e se não queremos acabar com a fé, e função social, a arte deve mostrar ao Mundo, e ajudar que ainda se pode mudar, e ajudar a reflectir sobre a decadência.

Tentando assim desta maneira evitar que um dia não tenhamos que utilizar todas as nossas armas…Tratando de viver desarmado.

Men and Machines

Technology and Culture are two enduring features that run through all human societies.

Thanks to the fashioning of the first tool, and as a direct result of this, Mankind has taken huge steps and has completely outpaced Nature.  There is no past without history, just as there will be no future without the present.

Different art forms, once created and put to the test, often have an extraordinary reaction, which may be long lasting and resistant to change.  Some of the forms currently used still bear the traces of the old collective links.  But then again, very often a work of art may provoke a rational effect on the observer, making us “alert” to the future.  Since we are living in, and are dependent on, a bureaucratic system that gives impetus to a destructive process, which enslaves and mechanises Mankind, we are all transformed into the same gearing in order to function within such a system in these modern times.

For this reason I think that art still continues to represent the truth in these times when society is in such a state of complete collapse, and if we don’t want to end up losing all hope and social interaction, then art must be able to show the whole world that change is possible and help it to reflect on the decadence.  In this way we can avoid the need to ever have to use weapons, and thus never have to resort to violence.
